The smallest of details is important to me, and I begin to assemble data after our very first interaction. It is said that the difference between something good and something great is in the details.
The wedding day experience begins with the ceremony. Two wireless microphones are on a white stand which blends in, set to just a little over chest-height so as to not block the face of the person doing a reading. Body pack mics are used for your officiant wherever appropriate. The omnidirectional mics pick up your vows beautifully. I provide a clean audio out of my main board so your videographer can capture the live vows. I play prelude music of your choice for thirty minutes as the guests are arriving, through a crystal-clear Bose portable sound system. Two Bose speakers, battery powered, are spaced twenty five feet apart for evenness of coverage. Backup equipment is under my table at all times. Music for the processional and recessional rounds out the ceremony selections. My second sound system is already set up in your cocktail area, where I play elections of your choosing for the next hour as well as music in the main room. Finally, my powerful ballroom sound system is ready for the introductions and speeches, followed by dinner music and dancing.
I get great results for discerning couples who have the option to leave everything up to me. I take it upon myself to coordinate all aspects and flow with all the vendors and act as a facilitator behind the scenes. The result is an amazing, fun, relaxed day for you with nothing to worry about musically.

We had just a few planning sessions and provided a few songs so he could gauge our taste for cocktail hour and the receipt and Walt took it from there. He worked directly with our pre-wedding musicians and the officiant seamlessly to make sure everyone could hear the whole group. We didn't worry about a thing! Aside from the bride, Walt may have had the most compliments of the night! Everyone had a great time and Walt kept the party going with little interruption. Brian Peyton2022-11-08After interviewing a couple of DJs, we decided on DJ Walt for his professional attitude and willingness to do some additional custom work for us that might not be typical for most weddings. One of the customizations was to record the audio for the ceremony, as we didn’t have a videographer, and we wanted a clean audio source to add to amateur videos of the event. The audio during the ceremony was set up well -- everyone could hear the speeches, etc. The recording of the ceremony also came out very clear, so we’ll be able to use it when we make a video compilation. The other customization was creating and presenting a memorial slideshow in place of the father-daughter dance (bride’s father has passed away). We provided DJ Walt with ~100 pictures, and he arranged them with good flow to music to create an emotional and memory-filled experience for those who knew the bride’s father, as well as a way for those who never met him to get to know him. During the reception, DJ Walt provided beautiful uplighting for the hall and played songs from the Spotify playlist we gave him in an order appropriate to the moment. He also brought out a limbo pole during the latter part of the reception, which was a lot of fun. The taller people at our party did surprisingly well. Overall, the ceremony and reception were well-managed and fun because of DJ Walt! We will definitely recommend him to any friends and family who are in need of DJ services.
Tom Greenwood2022-10-25Our family held a memorial and celebration of life at Appleford, and Walt ran the audio and visuals for our 4-hour event. He had two 65" TVs under the tent and a 42 inch TV inside the house, playing a slideshow of photos and videos. Walt ran the audio from the podium (including guitars, singing, speakers) and played a spotify playlist during a luncheon. Of course my family all had a lot to worry about that day, and the audio and visuals were not one of them. Walt was a true pro. He knew exactly what needed to be done, and just handled everything without a hitch.

Between my suggestions and wishes, he was able to customize out playlist and adjusted based on the dance floor vibes. He was also able to provide up-lighting which enhanced our venue décor, provided a mic and speaker for speeches, and acted as our very own MC for special dances and announcements. His set up is also clean and neat and didn't take away from our them and feel. Walt is your guy!

Gregory Novin2022-01-02Our wedding was on Halloween of 2021. When selecting a DJ for our wedding, I was very thorough in the search but it's hard to know who's going to fit your style and theme. Every DJ who's still in business is "good" but how do you find the one that will be truly amazing? During a venue open-house at Merion Tribute House, Walt Breslin was there promoting himself alongside several of the other vendors. We had a conversation about our theme and types of musical interests. Fast-forward to the weeks and months after the venue tours, and nearly all of the DJs had sent us follow-up emails, but Walt's included notes he had taken during our conversation at the venue tour. He took the time and effort to remember what made us unique among all of the other customers there. Fast-forward some more, and COVID wreaks havoc on all weddings, forcing us to postpone. No pushy additional emails from Walt (some DJs did ping us several times), but when we came down to the nearly-last-minute decision to go with him, we reached back out and said "Hey sorry it's only a month or two from the date, but are you still available and would you be interested?" He replied immediately, and we had a conversation about our theme and expectations and he had at the ready all of the relevant questions to ask us. His preparedness was great, because I had things in mind that I wanted for the event, and wasn't sure how they would fit in with the standard offerings. He followed-up with a detailed email that structured his song offerings and things for us to think about and decide on. He also coordinated with the other vendors and my father-in-law to incorporate what we needed to make our event special. A week prior to the event, he took the time to do a walk-through of the venue and helped my wife visualize what the space would be like with his additions. At the wedding proper, he showed up early and set everything up. He played through the night keeping our guests entertained and, I cannot stress this enough - he made sure to splice in some of our custom-themed song selections, while avoiding the types of music we said we didn't like. Because of COVID we didn't have the ceremony and reception at the same time. Even without the standard ceremony elements, Walt was able to make the bridal party introduction at the reception a magical experience. During the reception, I didn't have to worry about a thing while Walt and the other vendors (Merion Tribute House, John Serock Catering, and Rich Pruett photography) coordinated everything together like a champion team. My wife and I were able to spend the entire time socializing with our family and friends and enjoying the evening - as it should be. Walt Breslin easily deserves the 5 stars I'm giving him here, for his professionalism, flexibility, and quality of service.
