DJ WALT BRESLIN

SCHOOLS

Your school days can be great source of memories. The soundtrack to your middle school and high school years should invoke exciting feelings when recalled to mind years from now. A great DJ makes sure this happen.

An elementary school DJ plays great music, and if the size of the group allows, plays the right games with the kids. Your DJ should have accessories and prizes and strong skills on the microphone. They play line dances and are able to call out the steps. The music should shift back to great danceable songs, however, and new radio hits that keep the kids circulating and stimulated. But that special elementary school DJ is looking for the next opportunity to interact in some personal way and put his or her personal stamp on the performance. The next level of school DJ requires a discerning entertainer, who knows the differences in the middle school mindset and appreciates the need to reduce the interaction. Too many microphone interjections can be counter-productive for this age group, who largely just want to dance and be wowed by lighting offerings. Finally, your high school benefits from a strong dance program that involves the contributions of a great DJ. Festive dance parties with a theme throughout the year lend so much to the morale and the reputation of you student body when the DJ is great. Mixers and large parties set the tone for the formal large event at the end of your year, your Prom.

Your school needs a great DJ who knows how to handle themselves in a school setting. This can mean a lot of things. The DJ needs a powerful sound system that can handle your crowd, and backup equipment with him or her at all times. The DJ needs the proper edited versions of songs, they need mature judgement, and the ability to handle requests and crowds properly. In the music department, the best school DJs are artists. A large, diverse musical collection and a willingness to play from a large group of genres is essential. This DJ is progressive, with an ear toward tik tok trends and an awareness of classics as well as the songs that students are listening to, up to the minute. This pleases the largest groups of people, which is the job of the school DJ.

A great Prom and school DJ must have a professional light show with great effects. Strobes, mirror ball, lasers, intelligent lighting and moving heads really do put on a show all by themself. Now take a hot DJ who mixes and has transitions between genres that stimulate a dance floor progression, and you really have something special.

“For our French International School Gala, we had a unique event where we wanted half of the songs to be in French and half in English. DJ Walt Breslin was very easy to communicate with before the event in order to make this possible. He was very professional and took care of everything. We felt very comfortable that we were in extremely capable hands. DJ Walt Breslin catered to our unique crowd very well. I can’t recommend him enough.”

“We have a great experience with Walt Breslin as our DJ for TE Middle School. He did a great job and our 7th and 8th grade dance. 7th and 8th graders can be a tough crowd to make happy and the students gave him great reviews. They danced most of the night and were happy with the music that was played. He had a large selection of popular music with radio clean lyrics. We would highly recommend Walt for your event!”
